Sunday was a day out of the saddle with the Arbus family in Sault Ste. Marie but Monday it was back to the tour. Started in the morning with a visit and conversation at a local soup kitchen until around 11:00 am. Then it was on the bike, over the border and into the USA. Hot and humid weather (35 degrees) and a serious head wind made the ride challenging. Miles of forest and straight as an arrow roads with very little traffic made things a little easier. After 200 km arrived at a campground in Munising, Michigan on the south shore of Lake Superior. A storm is brewing and this will be the test for the new tent. It’s really small and light, but is it wind and water proof? Also need to find out why I can’t get or send emails with the Blackberry???
Hoping to be in Duluth by Thursday.
Here’s a picture of Jeff Arbus and Joachim in their matching Change the Cycle gear:
Hope you had a dry night Joachim. Does your butt have calluses yet? Keep pushing the fluids in this heat. Now that you are in the States Ivanhoe wonders if you are anywhere near Kentucky?
Keep the rubber on the road.
