The night in the tent was not too restful. There was a very loud party at least till 3 am. I guess people are getting ready for 4th of July weekend! Then there were several trains going by and I could feel the ground shake. So much for a lonesome cyclists excitement.
This was the day I really started to bike into the Prairies. It was very flat with some gently rolling hills at times. Increasing farmland and when I reached Fosston it became totally flat. I had traveled the last about 600 km on Hw 2 which I left at Erskine and turned north on 59 which leads to Winnipeg . Today I found out for myself how even a gentle prairie wind from the north feels like. I guess things will slow down from now on as the tour is going mostly northerly till Edmonton.
Tomorrow I might make it to Winnipeg.
Today there were no opportunities to engage in conversations about Change the Cycle. However people look at my jersey with interest.
Today I biked 208 km
Hey Joachim, The Blackstone crew were biking, in spirit with u yesterday, as we celebrated Cleve’s memorial mass. Safe travels and I support your good work wholeheartedly. xoxo
Thanks and let’s not forget the important stuff
Welcome back to Canada. Glad to see this is going well. Nice that you got to observe a group, that must have been very interesting for you. Keep the rubber on the road.
Jeff, Juanita, Tova, Miriam, Ariella
Thanks
Yes the project goes well. Have not forgotten your hospitality and our conversations
Happy Canada day my Canadian friend! Don’t let a little wind bog you down. In nautical terms you are “in irons” and I am sure it must feel that way. Bike on and “de-power” your sails, spill the wind and full speed ahead!!
Yes, I am sailing on the winds of inspiration
Hi joachim. I’m at Ariel’s cottage on Lake of Bays and enjoying the wonderful people and Muskoka winds (also pretty strong today). Happy Canada Day on your travels through the prairies and I hope the wind turns to your back. Hugs and love to you, you brave change maker! Colleen
Happy Canada Joachim,Keep the wheels rolling and the wind at your back…
Patty

Hi Patty
Canada’s holiday. What are our greatest wishes.
Hi Joachim.my legs ache just thinking about biking 208 kilometres in a day. You’re a hero…………too bad you have not many chances to chat with people
Hopefully you will sleep better tonight.
No aching legs today. As I always say, the bike is the greatest invention ever made. A machine to move on and think….
Looks like you are really doing well. I like to check your site and track your progress. Welcome back to Canada for her Birthday! Paul does the first of your Tom afternoon concerts tomorrow. Should be fun.
Safe travels to Winnipeg.
Doing well and moving west
